V. Semenov. The State Of Power Engineering And The Ways Of Development

This article is based on the report of Victor Semenov, the top manager of Industrial Department of Ministry of Energy, at the meeting in Russian Federation State Duma Committee on energy and industry. The propositions of energy engineering industry meeting from the viewpoint of General allocation scheme of power industry units to 2020 year (approved by Russian government on February, 22, 2008) was the subject of discussion. The article deals with the current state of energy engineering industry in Russia, urgent problems, arising of the acute investment shortage within the last ten years, as well as with such tasks set out to energy engineers that are to be solved to assure the large-scale development programmes of Russian energy by qualitative equipment.
