Standards on sealing elements of expanded graphite

The article is written by the specialists of one of the leading Russian companies which deal with the development and manufacturing of sealing materials. It covers the new Russian standards on expanded graphite sealing used in valve designs. The authors give the basic data from the Russian state standard and three institution standards. The article is based on the author´s report given at the international meeting devoted to technical level increasing and NPP valve improvement in Warstein (Germany), 2008, June, 27 – July, 3.
