Y. Rykunich, L. Ananevskaya. Methodological Aspects Of Material Degradation Assessment At Nuclear Valve Residual Resource Testing

The article deals with the research performed by the Kiev CKBA specialists in order to develop the methods of NPP valve operating conditions assessment. The degradation processes of materials used for valves manufacturing were studied. Determination of the reasons of material degradation and its rate makes possible to estimate with high accuracy the residual resource of the equipment with high accuracy. All this will reasonably assist to prolong service life of valves for NPP.
