A. Kulin. The Russian market of seals and gaskets: condition, problems and prospects

   The article is written according to the author‘s report made at the conference in Saint-Petersburg and is devoted to the relevant problems concerned with reliability of detachable joints. It is emphasized in the article that a Russian market of asbestos free seals is in underdeveloped condition that is first of all connected with the procurement policy when the price prevails over quality. As a result, stronger market positions are occupied by reselling cheap Chinese seals companies. However, the situation begins to change. The author considers that now is possible to create an independent organization fitted with modern testing equipment, which would make an examination of seals entering the Russian market.
